Do you know…?

Do you know every morning when I get up I just want to drive and never stop?

Do you know that I’m tired of living in someone else’s head?

Do you know that I hate how I tear myself down?

Do you know that my anxiety cripples me every time I walk through my office door?

Do you know that I cry at every Conway Twitty song?

Do you know I feel I don’t deserve the love I do receive?

Do you know that I can’t bring myself to put aside a grudge I don’t even care about?

Do you know I miss my cousin terribly and don’t know how to talk to her?

Do you know I feel the best reading a good book or watching my favorite television show?

Do you know coffee brings me sanity?

Do you know I have panic attacks more than you think I do?

Do you know I turn the radio up as loud as it will go to quiet the chatter?

Do you know I get headaches everyday?

Do you know how many inspiring words I read, I still don’t feel better about where my life is supposedly going?

Do you know that my family means the most to me, but I don’t feel close to them at the same time?

Do you know it takes me every ounce of energy to get out of the car each morning?

Do you know I leave people before they leave me?

Do you know I don’t expect anyone to read this?

Do you know this is probably the most honest thing I have written?

Do you know this is more than likely not even half of all the things I really mean to say…?

As always, thanks for listening…

My wishlist – Graceland

It is days like today that I tend to over-think my life. I don’t know where it is going to go, but I am excited to await the possibilities.

I have a list – as everyone typically does – of the things they would like to do before they die. A year ago this month, I scratched off one of the biggest dreams I’ve had. Last year, my mom, sister and I traveled down to Memphis to visit Elvis Presley’s Graceland. That trip was one of the greatest trips I have ever been on and San Francisco was definitely a close second.

I grew up watching Elvis and listening to his gospel and rock n’ roll music from my grandmother and mother. Watching his movies was always a wonderful experience. Visiting the same space as he spent his time was mind blowing and just something everyone should do one time in their life.

Here is my favorite Elvis song and favorite Elvis movie.

At first I was a little nervous. We all want our privacy and I wanted to be the most respectful I can be of the space that housed The King.  But it was beautiful. If you haven’t gone, the trip has you a set with headphones that personally guide you through the house and outer buildings. I cannot even describe what I seen and I haven’t shared a lot of my photos that I’ve taken because you all should go and see the wonder yourself.  Here is one of my favorites though….

I have a lot of places I would like to visit, including Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, and Australia. But I am going to share with you a few of the things I would like to do before I die.

My list of where I would like to go/what I’d like to do before I “kick the bucket.”

1. If you know me. I love to do crazy things. One thing I would love to do before I die is to sky dive.

2. Along with number one, I would also love to bungee jump and/or cliff dive or BOTH!

3. Have you all seen the ABC show Nashville? You Should! But I would really love to sing one song on the The Blue Bird Cafe stage. No, I don’t think I can sing very well or would make a big to-do about it, but it would be a memory I would always cherish.

4. Speaking of Nashville, I would love to stay in Nashville and see the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and walk down Music Row!

5. Lastly, I would love to one day open an inn on the east coast. This is a dream I’ve had since I was 16 years old.

I hope everyone has a list and would love to hear from anyone else about their list!
